I get questions about my weight loss almost daily.
Well, it all began with a health scare that changed my life.
I remember that day like it was yesterday, although it’s been slightly over a year now.
At 52, I thought I was invincible…
One evening, right after dinner, pain shot through my chest.
It was a crushing feeling like an elephant was sitting on me…
Panic set in as I struggled to catch my breath, and for a moment, I feared the worst.
My wife was the one to dial 911.
As I lay there, waiting for the ambulance, she said something that changed my perspective.
‘Our children need you. I need you!’ she cried. ‘I can’t go on without you. Please, hold on.’
The pain in her voice was a wake-up call like no other.
I realized that if I wanted to be there for my wife, for our children, and for myself, I needed to make a change.
A week later, I was discharged from the hospital with a newfound determination…
When I was young, doing a little exercise and watching what I ate were enough.
But the game had changed after I turned 45.
My diet stayed the same, but the weight started piling on.
I thought I could exercise the weight off…
But I soon found out that age caught up with me there too.
Before, I used to run a mile and not even break a sweat.
Now, I was dealing with a painful knee and overall stiffness in my body. The extra weight didn’t help…
The truth is, I’d been trying to lose weight for years…
But the results were always the same.
I’d lose a few pounds in the first few weeks, but the results never stayed…
It was like my body just wanted to keep the weight on.
I had pretty much given up until…
He seemed way slimmer than I’d ever seen him.
Not all bulked up, but his jaw seemed more chiseled, and the beer belly he got after 40 was gone.
I was curious, so I asked him about his eating routine, half-expecting to hear about some super strict diet or intense workout plan.
What he shared left me stunned.
He completely discredited popular diets like low carb, fasting, or food group restrictions.
According to him, they were just quick fixes, promising weight loss only to see it all creep back on.
Basically, a futile effort.
“Yeah, tell me about it,” I thought.
Surprisingly, he revealed that his breakthrough didn’t come from another restrictive plan.
Instead, he placed his trust in professionals to design his diet.
I told him there was no way I could afford that. I’ve got kids to put through college.
Instead, he introduced me to a guiding meal plan that’s accessible, tailored, and backed by nutrition professionals.
According to him, finding the right balance in eating habits was key.
Looking at him, it clearly worked.
So, given that I had nothing to lose…
I decided to give this guided meal plan a chance, hoping it will work and help me enjoy life without any more health scares.
The app I used it to guide me through the process is called Perfect Body.
I went through their questionnaire, and received my meal plan the same evening.
The food looked tasty in the pictures, but I was concerned about the portions.
Initially, eating 3 times a day and having 2 snacks in between seemed very strange.
Don’t I need to eat LESS to lose weight?
But once I started seeing results week by week, this lack of restriction became a source of motivation.
While they say it takes roughly 21 days to form a habit, I felt like I could continue on like this for a long time.
It was during this time that I started experiencing notable changes in my health and energy levels.
Mornings became lighter, and my stomach seemed to stick out less. I also felt like my heart didn’t have to work as hard anymore.
I found myself actually enjoying the plan and sticking to it way easier than I thought I would.
I guess that’s what professional plans are for…
So after only a week, seeing the change, I decided to continue with Perfect Body.
Contrary to other diets I’ve tried, I haven’t hit any walls, or regained any weight.
I feel like a man again. I am back in control of things.
Feeling good in your own skin is worth it to me…
And my improved health is important for my family.
I’m starting to feel more like myself, like I can tackle anything.
I know, other weight loss plans might have let you (and me) down, but this one’s different.
People are telling me I look a whole decade younger.
I feel more energetic and robust because I’m doing PERSONALIZED dieting – it’s all about my age, weight, health history, and what I like to eat.
And you know what? The free quiz I took to get started is linked below.
The Perfect Body quiz won’t cost you a thing and it’ll show you what you can expect with a personalized plan. It’s risk-free. I’m telling all my friends about it… Give it a shot!
