I get questions about my weight loss almost daily.
Well, it all began with a health scare that changed my life.
I remember that day like it was yesterday, although it’s been slightly over a year now.
At 52, life hadn’t seemed to catch up with me yet…
One evening, right after dinner, pain shot through my chest.
It was a crushing feeling like an elephant was sitting on me…
Panic set in as I struggled to catch my breath, and for a moment, I feared the worst.
My youngest daughter was 15 at the time. She was the one to dial 911.
As I lay there, waiting for the ambulance, she said something that changed my perspective.
‘Mom, Dad needs you. I need you!’ she cried. ‘You’re everything to us. Please, hold on.’
That moment was a wake-up call like no other.
I realized that if I wanted to be there for my husband, for our three babies, and for myself, I needed to make a change.
A week later, I was discharged from the hospital with a newfound determination…
When I was young, doing a little exercise and watching what I ate were enough.
But things had changed after I turned 45.
My diet stayed the same, but the weight started piling on. Menopause just made everything worse.
I thought I could exercise the weight off…
But I soon found out that age caught up with me there too.
Now, I was dealing with a painful knee and overall stiffness in my body. The extra weight didn’t help…
The truth is, I’d been trying to lose weight for years…
But the results were always the same.
I’d lose a few pounds in the first few weeks, find different recipes to try in the kitchen… but the results never stayed…
It was like my body just wanted to keep the weight on.
I had pretty much given up until…
She seemed way slimmer than I’d ever seen her.
Not “perfect” or plastic, like a magazine cover, but with a flat belly and curves in all the right places.
And a smile that could light up a room.
I was curious, so I asked her about her eating routine, half-expecting to hear about some super strict diet or intense workout plan.
What she shared left me stunned.
She completely discredited popular diets like low-carb, fasting, or food group restrictions.
According to her, they were just quick fixes, promising weight loss only to see it all creep back on.
Basically, a waste of time.
“Yeah, tell me about it,” I thought.
Surprisingly, she revealed that her breakthrough didn’t come from another restrictive plan.
Instead, she placed her trust in professionals to design her diet.
I told her there was no way I could afford that. I’ve got kids to put through college.
Instead, she introduced me to a guiding meal plan that’s accessible, tailored, and backed by nutrition professionals.
According to her, finding the right balance in eating habits was key.
Looking at her, it clearly worked.
So, given that I had nothing to lose…
I decided to give this guided meal plan a chance, hoping it would work and help me enjoy life without any more health scares.
The app I used to guide me through the process is called Perfect Body.
I went through their questionnaire, and received my meal plan the same evening.
The food looked tasty in the pictures, but I was concerned about the portions.
Initially, eating 3 times a day and having 2 snacks in between seemed very strange.
Don’t I need to eat LESS to lose weight?
But once I started seeing results week by week, this lack of restriction became a source of motivation.
While they say it takes roughly 21 days to form a habit, I felt like I could continue on like this for a long time.
It was during this time that I started experiencing notable changes in my health and energy levels.
Mornings became lighter, and my stomach seemed to stick out less.
I also felt like my heart didn’t have to work as hard anymore.
I found myself actually enjoying the plan and sticking to it way easier than I thought I would.
I guess that’s what professional plans are for…
So after only a week, seeing the change, I decided to continue with Perfect Body.
Contrary to other diets I’ve tried, I haven’t hit any walls, or regained any weight.
I feel like a real woman again. I’m the boss of my body now.
Feeling good in my own skin is worth it to me…
And my improved health is important for my family.
I’m beginning to feel more in tune with myself, empowered to achieve anything.
I know, other weight loss plans might have let you (and me) down, but this one’s different.
My friends are telling me I look a whole decade younger.
I feel more energetic and healthy because I’m doing PERSONALIZED dieting – it’s all about my age, weight, health history, and what I like to eat.
And you know what? The free quiz I took to get started is linked below.
The Perfect Body quiz won’t cost you a thing and it’ll show you what you can expect with a personalized plan. It’s risk-free. I’m telling all my friends about it… Give it a shot!

Best purchase ever made. I’m not much of a cook, but the plan really helps stay oon track. Just you know you don’t have to go extreme. Doing something is better than doing nothing at all. Lost 55 lbs in 5 months already
Good to hear she actually improved her life. I see many say “you don’t have to change or get healthy” nowadays but i call bs on that. good job!i know its hard
